The Aiken Steeplechase Association is a non-profit organization that hosts two steeplechase racing events sanctioned by the National Steeplechase Association each year, the Imperial Cup in March and the Holiday Cup in October.
It is comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors as well as community members and other supporters who strive to perpetuate the rich history of Steeplechasing in Aiken with the aid of the Aiken SERTOMA Club and other volunteers from our community
Profits from the races have aided Aiken charities such as Helping Hands, Inc., Hitchcock Woods Foundation, The Cumbee Center, Public Education Partners, CanHope, Aiken S.P.C.A., Aiken Rescue Squad, Aiken Public Safety Horse Rescue Squad, National Steeplechase Association Injured Jockey Fund and the Aiken Thoroughbred Hall of Fame.

Gates open at 9 am and races begin at 1 pm. This fun event has become a tradition for Aikenites and visitors. The day is filled with tailgating with family and friends, cheering on the horses, shopping at the Village of Shops, and participating in the Hat Contest and Crazy Pants Contests!
